You asked

I would like access to statistics breaking down what percentage of women at each employment level are mothers, for example, CEOs, Senior Managers, Managers, etc. If possible, I would like the data for each year it is available since 1985. I have been unable to find this data published anywhere, and would be very grateful if you would be able to direct me to it.

ONS does not regularly publish information on mothers in the labour market. However a report was published in March 2011 and is available on the website.

If you require more detailed and/or more up to date information, our Social Surveys team will be able to help. Special tabulations of data are available to order (subject to legal frameworks, disclosure control, resources and agreements of costs, where appropriate). Such enquiries should be made to: socialsurveys@ons.gov.uk (Tel: 01633 455678). We recommend that you contact the Social Surveys team directly in order to discuss your data requirements in more detail. As this information is already available to you via this route ONS considers that S21(1) applies to this request and the information does not have to be supplied under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act. S21(1) is an absolute exemption and no consideration of the public interest test needs to be applied.
