Underlying cause of death is coded using the version 10 of the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-10). Deaths where the underlying cause is Necrotising Fasciitis are assigned the ICD-10 code M72.6.
We produce mortality data for England and Wales for which the latest available data is for 2016.
