How many people have been prosecuted for not completing the Monthly Wages and Salaries Survey?
We said
Pursuing legal action is a last resort for the Office for National Statistics (ONS) and we work extremely hard with businesses to avoid such action, which is reflected in the figures provided. No businesses have been prosecuted for not returning the Monthly Wages and Salaries Survey during the last 12 months and only 6 businesses received a summons to appear in court. Final court actions were avoided in these instances as we were able to work with each business. The resolutions in each instance included the completion and return of all outstanding ONS questionnaires and payment of any related court costs.
