Monthly unemployment rates for Wales and Cardiff

Please provide me with the unemployment rate in Wales and in Cardiff, monthly from 1 January 2014 until 31 December 2016.

Thank you for your recent query regarding unemployment rates in Wales.

We estimate unemployment rates for local areas using model-based estimates based on information from the Annual Population Survey and the Claimant Count. Information is available on a 12 month basis. Headline unemployment rates for Wales are also available on a 3 month basis from the Labour Force Survey.

In the attached sheet we have provided the model-based unemployment rates for Cardiff, along with figures for Wales on a comparable basis, for the periods January to December 2014 to October to September 2016. These are the latest figures available. We have also provided the headline Labour Force Survey measures.
