We are responsible for mortality analysis for England and Wales. National Records Scotland (NRS) and Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA) are responsible for statistics pertaining to Scotland and Northern Ireland. Monthly mortality data for England and Wales from 2001 to 2020 can be found in the December 2020 spreadsheet available via the following link: Monthly mortality analysis.
Data for 2006 to 2020 are available in Rows 13 to 192 of Table 1 for those usually resident in England.
Rows 13 to 192 of Table 2 for those who are usually resident in Wales.
The number of deaths are available in Column L and monthly mortality rates per 100,000 of the population are in Column M.
