We do not hold data relating to the prevalence of mental health conditions. However, you may be able to get this information from NHS Digital.

The Adult Psychiatric Morbidity Survey and study of Mental Health of Children and Young People in England both published by NHS Digital contain a wide range of data about mental health in the population, including data by broad ethnic group.

We are responsible for publishing mortality statistics for deaths registered in England and Wales, using the information supplied on the death certificate. Information such as ethnicity, nationality, religion and sexual orientation are not captured on the death certificate.

Bespoke analyses of mortality data for England and Wales can be commissioned independently. Such services would fall outside of the Freedom of Information regime and would be subject to legal frameworks, disclosure control, resources and agreement of costs where appropriate.
