You asked
I would like to request information about the number of mass violence cases in the UK. This includes all contents of mass violence including terrorism, homicide, gang violence, and many more. This should be interpreted as referring to knives, guns, explosives, swords. I would like information from the 2021-22 calendar year, 22-23 calendar year and the 23-24 calendar year.

Thank you for your request.
Unfortunately, we do not collect data related to mass violence specifically. All our data are collected at individual or household level, so we are unable to provide information on incidents of violence involving multiple victims.
You may be interested in our Homicide in England and Wales tables, which analyse data from the Home Office Homicide Index. The Home Office Homicide Index contains record-level information about each homicide recorded by police in England and Wales.
You may also be interested in our Offences involving the use of weapons tables, which include data tables relating to offences involving weapons as recorded by police and hospital episode statistics.
Finally, you may be interested in our Nature of violent crime tables, which include data from the Crime Survey for England and Wales (CSEW) on violence with and without injury, and harassment, and police recorded crime on violence against the person and sexual offences.
Each of the above data are available to download in an Excel spreadsheet format.
The CSEW is a victimisation survey which asks respondents about their experiences of crime. Statistics produced from the CSEW are for England and Wales only. For crime statistics for Scotland and Northern Ireland, you would need to contact Scottish Government and the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency directly.
You may also wish to contact the Home Office, who may be able to assist you further: CrimeandPoliceStats@homeoffice.gov.uk.
