Manufactured goods exports to the European Union

Total manufactured goods exports to the EU in 1992 and 1993.

The dataset that best matches your question is contained in Pink Book 1993 in hardcopy from our archives, which I have accessed for you and scanned into a PDF, which is attached; the data in our systems currently only go back to 1998.

The tables you are interested in are 2.2 and 2.3:

• Table 2.2: European Community, reference code HBYU

• Table 2.3: Semi manufactured goods and finished manufactured goods, reference codes HCJK and HBTG (combine these rows of data and you get total manufactured goods)

As you can see, data is either available for exports to the 'European Community' or 'total manufactured goods', but not a combination. Unfortunately we do not hold the combined data.

Caveats you should be aware of:

• We currently follow statistical definitions set out in the Balance of Payments Manual 6 (BPM6); Pink Book 1993 was compiled using BPM4

• The 1993 Pink Book data defines the European Community as the 11 member states plus the European Institutions
