Please note, business counts provided are for businesses who register for VAT and/or PAYE. Small businesses below the thresholds are not captured by ONS at the moment. With regards to question 2 the employment is at a set point in time. From the figure provided we cannot differentiate whether the people are working directly or indirectly for the agency. Also, the figures provided in answers 7 and 9 relate to jobs, not people in employment.
