I am seeking the latest available data pertaining to the Indian population in the UK, specifically within England and Wales. I am interested in a detailed breakdown of this population across various categories, including but not limited to:

• Age
• Sex
• Migration status
• Religion
• Employment status
• Education levels
• Housing status
• Health and disability status
• Language proficiency
• Marital status
• Household composition
• Industry of employment
• Annual inflow of Indians into the UK

Census 2021 provides the most up to date information for most of the topics you have listed. Our Create a custom dataset tool enables users to make their own datasets combining variables from the census, subject to disclosure control. You can make these datasets as broad or precise as you like. To do this, click on the blue "change" text that is listed in the "Area type" and "coverage" rows. Please see the associated navigation instructions for assistance. Please also see the associated dataset, extracted using the create a custom dataset tool, showing Indian ethnic group by proficiency in English as an example.

Detailed census data are also available from Nomis. Nomis is a service run, on behalf of the Office for National Statistics (ONS), by the university of Durham. The third associated dataset shows residents of Indian ethnic group by age and sex in England and Wales. 

Migration status and annual flow of Indians into the UK are not pertinent to the census but Long-term international migration, provisional: year ending June 2024, released November 2024, states that 240,000 people from India immigrated to the UK in year ending June 2024.
