Thank you for your request asking for data on the population aged 75+ with an income of at least £30k/year and the population aged 45-64 with an income of £70k/year by postcode district in England.

I can confirm that the requested information is not held by the Office for National Statistics. I am unaware if this information is held by any other government department.

Whilst we do not hold the requested information, both ONS and HMRC do publish some statistics which may be of interest to you. ONS’s Small Area Model-Based Income Estimates provide measures of average household income at the middle layer super output area (MSOA) level in England and Wales. They are calculated using a model-based method t using a combination of survey data from DWP’s Family Resources Survey and previously published data from the 2011 Census and a number of administrative data sources. It is possible to aggregate these data to higher geographical levels if desired. The latest release, covering 2011/12, is available here: http://www.ons.gov.uk/employmentandlabourmarket/peopleinwork/earningsandworkinghours/bulletins/smallareamodelbasedincomeestimates/2015-10-20

The data themselves are available to download here: http://www.ons.gov.uk/employmentandlabourmarket/peopleinwork/earningsandworkinghours/datasets/smallareaincomeestimatesformiddlelayersuperoutputareasenglandandwales

Additionally, HMRC publish statistics from their Survey of Personal Incomes, which is based on a sample of information held by HMRC in their computer systems covering National Insurance and PAYE, and Self-Assessment. In particular, Tables 3.14/a and 3.15/a, which cover income and tax by local authority and parliamentary constituency may be of use. These statistics are available from the GOV.UK website: https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/personal-incomes-statistics
