You asked

Please supply statistics on hate crimes by UK city if possible. Ideally this data would be broken down by both incidents in each city and then type of incident (racism, homophobia, sexual assault etc), if the details of these findings are available.

In addition, if there's any possibility of breaking down crime victims by gender, race and sexuality, that would also be greatly appreciated.

The Home Office produce an annual publication titled 'Hate Crime, England and Wales'. The 2019 to 2020 release was published on the 13 October 2020 which can be accessed via the following link: https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/hate-crime-england-and-wales-2019-to-2020.

This publication includes statistics from two main sources: police recorded crime and the Crime Survey for England and Wales (CSEW). Appendix tables for the most recent release can also be found in the above link.

Appendix Table 1 provides a breakdown of hate crimes recorded by the police by police force area and monitored hate crime strand. This include by race and sexual orientation. Appendix Table 2 provides a breakdown of recorded offence sub groupings by monitored hate crime strand.

Appendix Table 11 provides a breakdown of the percentage of adults aged 16 and over who were victims of hate crime and all CSEW crime by personal characteristics including by sex and ethnicity.
