Is there available data on gambling premises shop openings and closures by address for 2024?
Ideally, it would be linkable to the gambling commission's premises licences register data.

Thank you for your freedom of information request asking for data on gambling premises shop openings and closures by address for 2024.
Unfortunately, we do not hold the information you require. We produce a publication called Business Demography. The latest data available are for 2023. The 2024 data will be published in November 2025. The data in this publication are taken from the Inter Departmental Business Register (IDBR) which holds all businesses registered for VAT and/or PAYE. The publication shows aggregated data on business births (creations), deaths (closures) and survival rates broken down geography or industry. However, the data are shown at enterprise level (the whole of the business.) Unfortunately, we do not hold information on the opening and closing of individual shops.
