I wish to make a freedom of information request pertaining to live birth registrations. For the years 2015 and 2025, please can you tell me the forty most common surnames for live births registered in England and Wales.

We have recently published counts and ranks of surnames, registered in England and Wales, for live births registered in each year 1996 to 2025 on our website.
This publication contains counts of all surnames registered on live birth certificates in England and Wales for each year 1996 to 2025. Counts for surnames with less than three live births have been suppressed for confidentiality reasons.
