You asked

I would like to have excess mortality of 2021 as it is in this link for 2020 https://www.ons.gov.uk/aboutus/transparencyandgovernance/freedomofinformationfoi/excessdeathsforukfortheyear2020

We said

Thank you for your enquiry.

We have produced the analysis below for excess deaths 2021, using provisional data. The data is still in provisional state and subject to change. This is to allow the inclusion of late registrations which are deaths which have been referred for Coroner investigation.

We will the finalised data in our Deaths Registered Series 2021 in July 2022, which will include late registrations.

Notes:
  1. These are provisional estimates taken from the recent ONS publication Deaths registered weekly in England and Wales, 25 January 2022.  Final figures are expected to be published in May 2022.
  2. These figures represent death registrations. There can be a delay between the date a death occurred and the date a death was registered. More information can be found in our impact of registration delays release.
  3. Non-residents are included in the England and Wales total but not England and Wales separately. For this reason, counts for "England" and "Wales" may not sum to "England and Wales".
  4. Figures are based on geographical boundaries as of February 2021
