Thank you for your enquiry regarding employees in London’s creative industries.
The Creative Industries were defined by the Department for Media and Culture; www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/271008/Creative_Industries_Economic_Estimates_-_January_2014.pdf
The best source of information on the number of employees by SIC07 in London is the Business Register and Employment Survey. However, this source does not split estimates by gender. Estimates of the number of employees in the creative industries in London are attached, but without any gender split.
An alternative source of information that can be used to produce estimates of the number of employees, by industry, gender and region is the Annual Population Survey (APS), however we do not routinely produce estimates at this level of detail.
Although we do not routinely produce these particular statistics it would be possible to request to have a specific analysis produced by our social surveys team. Please note that there may be a charge for this service depending on the amount of time taken to develop the analysis and undertake quality and disclosure control processes.

If you choose to request a detailed analysis produced, it should be remembered that the level of detail requested will affect the quality of any statistics produced.
