You asked
We would be interested to find out the number of divorces in 2025, 2024 or the most recent year available that references or mentions AI/Artificial Intelligence. We are submitting this request to create a campaign for a Family Law firm around unusual reasons for divorcing, specifically how AI is potentially now affecting marriages/driving people to divorce.

Thank you for your Freedom of Information request.
We do not hold any data on divorces that reference or mention artificial intelligence (AI)
From 6 April 2022, information on grounds for divorce or dissolution is no longer collected during the legal process. Additionally, under the new law, it is possible for members of a couple to apply for a divorce, or dissolution, jointly. As a result, we do not hold data on reasons for divorce, including mentions of AI or Artificial Intelligence.
The Ministry of Justice's quarterly Family Court Statistics may provide more information.
If you require general statistics on divorces, published data on divorce numbers and rates are available on our Divorces topic page.
