I would like to request information on distances travelled to work by method of travel. Please also provide the flows to employment centres, since the study requires a spatial mismatch of opportunities. The information is required in a Lower Layer Super Output Area (LSOA) and Middle Layer Super Output Area (MSOA) level.

Thank you for your enquiry. We produce a range of data relating to methods of travel to work. These are taken from the 2011 Census and are published by various characteristics and geographic levels.
In particular, table LC7701EW provides data on Method of travel to work (2001 specification) by distance travelled to work. This table can be found on the Nomis website.

In terms of data on flows to employment centres, the data is not available for LSOA but is published for Middle Layer Super Output Areas (MSOAs) in Census table WU03EW Location of usual residence and place of work by method of travel to work (MSOA level).
