I would like to make a freedom of information request regarding Disabled Looked After Children (up to 18 years old) in the UK including those in foster care, residential childcare and Secure Accommodation. I require the following information:
How many looked after children are there in the UK? What percentage and number of these looked after children have a learning disability? What percentage and number of these looked after children have a physical disability? Where are the highest concentrations of these two groups from? How many of each group are from Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Derbyshire, Staffordshire and the West Midlands On average how far from their own home/area are these respective groups placed? How many specialised learning disability residential child care placements are there in the UK in total and how many are currently occupied? How many specialised Physical Disability/Complex Care residential childcare placements are there in the UK in total and how many are currently occupied? How many of these are in the West Midlands/Staffordshire area? What is the average cost of a placement for a child with learning disabilities and physical disabilities respectively?
