Do you hold any statistics regarding the amount of deaths within the UK that occur within the emergency department?

We produce mortality statistics for England and Wales.

We do not hold information on the number of deaths that occur in emergency departments, however the number of deaths in NHS and Non-NHS hospitals in England and Wales are available from table 8 and 9 of our Deaths Registered in England and Wales (Series DR) publication:

Table 12 of the Hospital accident and Emergency activity 2015-16 tables provides the number of patients who were brought into A&E dead in 2014-15 and 2015-2016 and table 16 provides the number of people who died in the A&E department in these years. For more information please contact NHS digital.
