Please could you provide statistics regarding deaths registered in Darlington between the dates April 1st 2018 through to the current date and any other details you may have.

We are responsible for publishing mortality statistics for deaths registered in England and Wales using the information supplied on the death certificate. The most recent year for which mortality statistics are available is 2017.
However, we produce provisional monthly death figures which provide counts of the number of deaths registered in a calendar month, by area of usual residence, for England and Wales. Within England, they are presented by region, county, local and unitary authority and by London borough. Monthly deaths figures for 2018 to February 2019 are available here.
Please note that these figures are published to meet user needs, providing very timely, but provisional counts of death registrations in England and Wales. At this time, registrations extracted from our deaths database have not been subject to the full quality assurance process. Consequently, any quarterly or annual figures calculated from the monthly deaths figures should only be considered as provisional.
An annual death registrations dataset for 2018 will be extracted from the ONS deaths database later this year and will form the basis for ONS's annual death registration figures. This annual dataset will be subject to a full quality assurance process before final figures are published. We expect to publish final annual data on 2018 death registrations in July or August 2019 (provisional). At this time, monthly death registrations for 2018 will be updated using the annual dataset to ensure consistency with annual figures.
Other special extracts and tabulations of deaths data for England and Wales can be created as a bespoke analysis. Any such analysis would be outside of the Freedom of Information regime and would be subject to legal frameworks, disclosure control, resources and agreement of costs where appropriate.
