I would like to make the following Freedom of Information Request.
Number of deaths related to drug poisoning and drug misuse where ketamine is mentioned on the death certificate, by sex and age group, covering regions in England and Wales, deaths registered between 2014 and 2024.

Drug related deaths are referred to a coroner for investigation. We do not receive the death registration until the coroner's report has been completed. More information on delayed registrations can be found in our Impact of Registration Delays Bulletin. This means that we are still in the data collection process for drug related deaths registered in 2024.
Our Deaths Related to Drug Poisoning bulletin provides more information on deaths due to drug poisoning by sex, age and substance involved.
However, we have not previously produced the exact analysis you require, and the requested information would therefore need to be created as a custom output. Information on drug related deaths where ketamine was mentioned by age group, sex, and region along with other special extracts and tabulations of mortality data for England and Wales may be available to order. Please note these services are subject to legal frameworks, disclosure control, resources and agreements of costs in line with our charging policy.
