Please could you provide similar stats to the ones above but for ‘unmarried couples’ for 2008-2018.
Can you provide a breakdown of the above stats by age into the following groups : <18, 19-35, 36-49, >50

Thank you for your Freedom of Information request regarding families and household statistics.
The Families and Households 2018 bulletin was not published in autumn 2018 and will be published in summer 2019. This is due to the release of re-weighted Labour Force Survey (LFS) data for 2012-2018 in late Spring 2019. The publication will include the latest estimates for 2018 as well as an updated back series to 2012. The date of the publication will be confirmed on the ONS release calendar in 2019. The Families and Households statistics are produced from LFS data.
In the latest Families and Households, 2017 publication we provided data relating to ‘cohabiting couples’ of both same and opposite sexes. In this context we use the term ‘co-habiting’ to cover couples who are neither married nor in a civil partnership.
With regard to a breakdown of the above statistics by age into the groups <18, 19-35, 36-49 and >50, we would need to create a special extract and tabulation of the data. Any data ordered is subject to legal frameworks, disclosure control, resources and agreement of costs, where appropriate.
