Thank you for your enquiry.

We are responsible for the provision of mortality statistics for England and Wales. National Records Scotland (NRS) and Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA) are responsible for statistics pertaining to Scotland and Northern Ireland. They can be contacted at foi@nrscotland.gov.uk and info@nisra.gov.uk respectively.

The requested information up to June 2020 can be found in the following dataset: Deaths involving COVID-19, England and Wales, and in the following table:

The latest data available is up to June 2020, as this publication has been now been paused, due to the decrease in deaths from COVID-19.

Unfortunately, we would be unable to provide an age breakdown of COVID-19 deaths by no pre-existing condition for July to September 2020, as we do not hold analysis for this. In order to comply with this part of the request, we would need to create bespoke analysis for you. Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, Public Authorities are not obliged to create information in response to requests. We therefore consider a breakdown of COVID-19 deaths by no pre-existing conditions and age from March to September 2020 to be information not held.
