  1. What was the total number of deaths linked to COVID 19 in England and Wales between the 1st February and 31 December 2020 inside hospitals compared to those that sadly lost their lives with COVID 19 in the care homes or other location outside of hospital please.

  2. Out of the numbers for each group above, how many that were linked to COVID 19 also had a DNR notice?

ONS mortality data comes from the information collected at death registration. Whether or not the deceased had a do-not-resuscitate order (DNR), is not recorded on the death certificate, so we are unable to provide this information.
