You asked

Please provide a table that shows, by age group, the cumulative number of cases, hospitalisation, ICU admissions, and deaths from COVID-19 for those with no underlying medical health issues. Please present by two date ranges, one covering the year to date, and the other from June to date.

If you can provide the same for all COVID-19 related cases that would be useful as it would be easy to see the impact across all cohorts.

We do have the following information regarding deaths from COVID-19 where there were no underlying health conditions.

The following publication, Deaths involving COVID-19, England and Wales: deaths occurring in June 2020, provides the number of deaths registered each month in England and Wales, including deaths involving the coronavirus (COVID-19), by age, sex and country. This publication states that of the deaths involving COVID-19 that occurred in England and Wales in March to June 2020, there was at least one pre-existing condition in 91.1% of cases; this is a similar level to that shown in March to May. These are the most up-to-date figures we have available.

Table 5 of this publication provides the most common main pre-existing conditions in deaths involving COVID-19, all ages and sexes, England and Wales, deaths occurring between March and June 2020.

This information will be updated in September to include July data. Please see our release calendar for further information.
