Classification of Scottish Government capital projects

Please could you supply the following information in digital format:

Provide dates of discussions relating to the assessment of Scottish Government capital projects with respect to the classification given the implementation of ESA10.

Provide a copy of correspondence relating to the assessment of Scottish Government capital projects with respect to the classification given the implementation of ESA10.

In response to your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, the following projects have been identified as Scottish Government capital projects:

1. Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route (AWPR)
2. Ayr Academy
3. Scottish Non-Profit Distributing (NPD) Hospitals - DGRI and RHSC
4. Lothian Bundle hub DBFM

The requested details of each project will be provided separately:

1. Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route (AWPR)

Date of discussion:

The AWPR classification was discussed on 27 August 2015 by the National Accounts Classification Committee (NACC) which is responsible for establishing the correct classification.

Copy of correspondence:

The letter confirming the statistical classification of AWPR was sent to the Scottish Government on 12 October 2015.

2. Ayr Academy

Date of discussion:

Scottish Futures Trust and Scottish Government requested a classification decision on the Ayr Academy hub DBFM project. The case was referred to the Economic Statistics Classifications Committee who met on 20 July 2016 to consider the case.

The letter to Scottish Government dated 27 July 2016 confirmed the classification on the Ayr Academy hub DBFM project.

3. Scottish Non-Profit Distributing (NPD) Hospitals - DGRI and RHSC

Date of discussion:

The Scottish Government (SG) Non-Profit Distribution (NPD) PPP model was considered for classification by the Economic Statistics Classifications Committee on 19 October 2016.

Scottish Government were informed of the decision made by the Economic Statistics Classifications Committee by letter dated 28 October 2016.

4. Lothian Bundle hub DBFM

Date of discussion:

The Scottish Government requested the classification of the Lothian Bundle project. It was considered by the Economic Statistics Classifications Committee on 17 August 2016.

Scottish Government were informed of the decision made by the Economic Statistics Classifications Committee by letter dated 30 August 2016.
