Within the UK SIC (2007), mobile tyre fitting and repair services are included within section G (Wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles) class 45.20 (Maintenance and repair of motor vehicles) which includes activities such as roadside tyre repair, fitting or replacement.
The Statistical Classification of Economic Activities in the European Community (NACE) Rev. 2 is undergoing an international review. The review will directly impact on UK SIC 2007, as currently the classification must be identical to NACE Rev 2, down to and including the fourth digit of the system. Eurostat1 advise that input from International Trade Associations & Federations will be included in the NACE review and that to participate in this process, business users should contact the appropriate National Federation to express their needs.
