You asked
Looking for data on Canary Wharf's workforce (not inhabitants of the geographical area per say, but workers who work under the Canary Wharf group, or in offices located in the region.) I would like to know if it is possible to get a figure on how many of these employees were not born in the UK or European Economic Area. This data has derived for the City of London region for a document that I will highlight below for example: City of London Factsheets February 2023 where a request found that 49% of City workers coming from the European Economic Area (EEA) or the rest of the world (page 4.)
Any figures would be helpful.

Thank you for your request.
The factsheet you provided is using the most up to date workplace population data – taken from our Census 2021 results.
Census data is published for geographic areas with defined boundaries. We do not hold this data for individual companies, such as the Canary Wharf Group. However, we can provide data for the Canary Wharf ‘area’ on a best-fit basis.
Canary Wharf is entirely within the London Borough of Tower Hamlets and broadly corresponds to two Middle Layer Super Output Areas (MSOAs): E02006853 and E02006854.
Census 2021 datasets are available for the workplace population. This is an estimate of the usually resident population aged 16 years and over, working in an area. It includes people who work mainly at or from home, or do not have a fixed place of work, in their area of usual residence. It includes people who work in a specific area, regardless of where they live.
It counts all workers whose workplace is in that area, even if they commute from outside.
The attached datasets, downloaded from Nomis, provide information on country of birth in tab ‘Country of birth’ and National Statistics Socio-economic classification (NS-SEC) in tab ‘NS-SEC’ for the workday population in the two MSOAs E02006853 and E02006854. Nomis is a service operated on behalf of the Office for National Statistics (ONS) by the University of Durham.
Additional datasets can be accessed via Nomis, or if you require further assistance, our team at census.customerservices@ons.gov.uk can provide guidance.
