Annual breakdowns of the budget allocated for the Crime Survey for England since 2007
We have been conducting the Crime Survey for England and Wales since April 2012, prior to this date the survey was conducted by the Home Office. The following budgetary and cost information is therefore limited to financial year's 2012/13 to 2021/22.
Furthermore, budgets are not disaggregated or held at the level required to disclose annual budgetary figures for the Crime Survey for England and Wales. The budgetary figures in the table below relate to the work of the Centre for Crime and Justice where the Crime Survey for England and Wales sits:

Crime Survey staff costs for financial year 2021/22 are not yet available as they are currently being finalised before undergoing external audit checks as part of the Annual Report and Accounts process.
Please also note that the staff costs listed in the below table are an estimation based on the number of staff members known to contribute towards the Crime Survey with an average rate of pay being applied:
