I would like to know how often the statistics for the people applying for the British citizenship are updated?

Statistics on applications for British Citizenship are collected and published by the Home Office, the requested information is therefore not held by ONS. However applications for citizenship are updated each quarter, on the Home Office's website, for the previous year (ie on a rolling year basis):
