You asked
How many British born Africans are in the UK?
We said
Thank you for your request.
We can provide data from the last census, which was in 2011 by country of birth for the United Kingdom cross referenced by Black/African/Caribbean/Black British ethnic group, which is publicly available on the Nomis website.
Although the UK censuses take place on the same day they are run separately by each National Statistics Office (Northern Ireland Statistics & Research Agency (NISRA), National Records of Scotland (NRS), and the Office for National Statistics (ONS) for both England and Wales). Some UK census tables are available from ONS but only where the questions were harmonised and only for single census topics (Quick Statistics and Key Statistics tables). Detailed census tables can be obtained from each of the above mentioned statistical organisations.
Please find attached 2011 census table LC2205EW Country of birth by ethnic group for England and Wales.
This table was downloaded from the Nomis website.
