You asked
Can I have for each year the crude number of deaths per 1000 and births?
Ideally I’d like to go back to 1941 but the max under the costs would be ideally.
E.g. 9 deaths per 1000 and 14 births per 1000 in 1942.

We produce annual statistics that present crude mortality rates for England and Wales. Table 1 of our Deaths registered in England and Wales dataset shows the number of deaths, crude and age-standardised-mortality rates (ASMRs) by sex and country, for deaths registered between 1838 and 2024. The crude mortality rates are available from 1953 onwards.
Table 1 of our Births in England and Wales: summary tables provides crude birth rates from 1938 to 2022. This dataset has been discontinued and has been replaced with our Births in England and Wales: birth registrations dataset. The 2023 and 2024 crude birth rates for births occurring in 2023 and 2024 are available in Table 1 of the births registrations dataset.
