Average earnings by region and occupation

I’ve read the Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings report for 2014 with interest.

I note that there are tables that show earnings by region and also tables that show earnings by occupation.

I was wondering whether you might be able to provide a table which shows both. i.e. I would like to be able to see average earnings of ‘Sales and customer service’ in the South East vs the average for the UK.

Thank you for your request. We publish earnings information by region and occupation in Tables 3 and 15 of the Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings (ASHE) reference tables. The 2014 ASHE reference tables are available via this link.

Table 3 provides average earnings estimates by region and 2-digit Standard Occupation Classification (SOC) 2010 and Table 15 provides these estimates by region and 4-digit SOC 2010. Both of these tables will allow you to compare the average earnings for employees in sales and customer service occupations in the South East with the average for the whole of the UK.
