Please provide me with the total number of people in the population of Preston (in Lancashire) per year starting from 2010 up until the year of 2020.

Thank you for your Freedom of Information request regarding the total number of people in the population of Preston (in Lancashire) per year starting from 2010 up until the year of 2020.
We publish mid-year population estimates on an annual basis, and the latest available are for mid-2020.
You will also find datasets for previous years on that page. However, the easiest way to find the data you are looking for is by using the Nomis website please see instructions below:
Go to the 'data downloads' section and click on 'query data'.
Select population estimates/projections and five choices will appear; select the first one Population estimates - local authority based by single year of age.
- From the left-hand panel, make your selections:
Geography - type Preston in the search box towards the top right and select Preston, Lancs
- Date - select the relevant years ie 2010-2020
- Age - select all ages
- Sex -- keep the default selection to select all
From the left-hand panel, select Download Data -- it should download within just a few seconds.
The table below shows the mid-year population estimates for the local authority of Preston:
