Please can you tell me how many Doctors begin training in the NHS each year. Also, if possible the figures for every year since training began in earnest post the Second World War.

Unfortunately we do not hold the information you have requested.
We collect information on people working in different occupations from the Labour Force Survey, based on interviews with people resident in households in the UK. However, this source would not identify the number of doctors who begin training.
You may be able to obtain more information by addressing your query directly to the NHS who produce and publish their own statistics.
