Annual construction statistics

​​In the Construction Statistics Annual, Table 2.6 provides a split of New Orders for Construction: Value Non-Seasonally Adjusted by Main Contractors, by Type of Work. Within the Infrastructure Sector there is one row entitled 'Other'. The footnote to the table indicates that this covers the Gas, Air and Communications sub-sectors.

I wish to log a Freedom of Information request for the splitting of this 'Other' category into each of its component parts, i.e. Gas, Air and Communications.

Please find attached the dataset Table 2.6 within Construction statistics, Great Britain 2018 published on 18 October 2019.

The dataset previously published has been amended to include the annual new orders data for the separate categories of Gas, Communications and Air from 2010 to 2018 inclusive.

Please note the following:

1. Data prior to 2010 are not available due to a discontinuity in the methodology used to produce these statistics. For further information on this discontinuity please see Development of construction statistics (PDF, 135KB).

2. The data for years 2015 to 2018 inclusive are suppressed due to disclosure control: without this measure, it would be possible to identify individual projects within this dataset. As it would be unlawful for us to disclose this information under the Statistics and Registration Service Act 2007, we are not required to disclose it under FoI.
