You asked
What is the adult population of Surrey County please?
We said
Thank you for your request.
The most recent data we can provide you with is from the Census 2021. The census does not have a specific classification for "adult". Instead, Census 2021 collects information on a person's age and provides statistics for a range of age groupings. A commonly used definition of an adult is a person aged 18 years and over.
Please see the associated XLSX download 2021 Census Dataset – TS007 – Age by single year, which has been downloaded from the Nomis website. Nomis is run by Durham University on behalf of the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
If you wish to identify the adult population, this can be derived using the census age groupings for people aged 18 years and over (for example, combining the 18 to 85 years and over age groups). The census itself does not apply a separate "adult" classification.
