The provisional number of deaths registered in England and Wales in the week ending 06/04/2012 was 8,520. This represents a fall of 1,114 deaths registered in comparison with the previous week. This fall is likely to be the result of fewer registration days over the Easter weekend.
Weekly death figures provide provisional counts of the number of deaths registered in England and Wales in the latest eight weeks for which data are available.
