2020/21 has been a year of significant achievement especially with our response to the COVID-19 pandemic. After 1 year of our 5 year UKSA Strategy, Statistics for the Public Good, we have made considerable progress towards delivering it.
The 2021/22 Strategic Business Plan recognises this, looks to build upon this success and keeps us moving in the same strategic direction. The Strategic Drivers remain the same: Ambitious, Radical, Inclusive and Sustainable. The Strategic Objectives have been rationalised from 12 to 8.
Statistical, Analytical and Invest to Save Priority Themes were developed to help direct the 21/22 Planning Round, which was again a collaborative exercise, with representatives from right across ONS participating in weekly meetings and workshops.
As a result, circa 144 Accountability Framework Objectives have been developed and agreed to achieve the optimum 2021/22 contribution to the 8 Strategic Objectives.
The 2021/22 Strategic Business Plan reflects that it will be another really important year for ONS, maintaining our increased profile with the ongoing contribution to the country's recovery from the pandemic, including the economic response, and the Government Agendas through:
The COVID-19 Infection Survey/Health Surveillance
The Integrated Data Programme
Economic and Public Policy Statistics and Analysis
