I would like to know the total number of current and historic COVID-19 cases and the total number of COVID-19 deaths in the England and Wales for the age groups of 15-19 and 20-24 , and also the weekly number of COVID-19 cases and deaths in England and Wales for the age groups of 15-19 and 20-24.

Infections:
In the data which accompanies our bulletins, you can find the percentage of people testing positive for COVID-19 by age/school year for non-overlapping 14 day periods since May on tab 1h. Please note age groupings held are as follows:
- Age 2 to school year 6
- School year 7 to year 11
- School year 12 to age 24
- Age 25 to age 34
- Age 35 to age 49
- Age 50 to age 69
Unfortunately, we do not hold a breakdown of this analysis for Wales only. In order to produce this, we would need to create bespoke analysis. Public Authorities are not obliged to create information in response to requests. Therefore, we consider this to be information not held.
Deaths:
5-year age bands are used in our weekly deaths publication for both all causes and COVID-19 registrations and occurrences. However, with more information added to our other publications, such as lower geographical location, pre-existing conditions or ethnicity, this can produce much small numbers in the 5-year age grouping which could potentially make the data disclosive and in breach of our disclosure policy, available via the following link: Policy on protecting confidentiality in tables of birth and death statistics.
The following publication, Deaths registered weekly in England and Wales, provisional, provides provisional counts of the number of deaths registered in England and Wales, including deaths involving the coronavirus (COVID-19), by age, sex and region. Within the 'COVID-19 Weekly -- Registrations' and 'COVID-19 Weekly Occurrences' tabs of the following dataset, there are age groups closer to what you have requested.
Unfortunately, we would be unable to provide you with further disaggregation of COVID-19 deaths inline with your requested age bands. In order to fulfil this request, we would need to create a bespoke analysis for you. Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, Public Authorities are not obligated to create information in order to respond to requests. We therefore consider this to be information not held.
