Summary of request

This table provides data from the 2021 Census responses that classify all usual residents responding to the 2021 Census by selected countries of birth (threshold 20+ usual residents). These counts of census responses have not been adjusted for estimated undercoverage in the census and will be different from the published census estimates of country of birth.

Geographical level: Local Authorities in England and Wales.

This dataset contains preliminary counts of country of birth by local authority for Ukraine and neighbouring or relevant countries to help local and national emergency response planning.

Please note:

This fourth version, published 22 March 2022, extends the original list of selected countries of birth to include Afghanistan to support humanitarian planning.
