COVID-19 total announced deaths

May I request the following:

1. The attached file updated to 31st December 2020 or as close to thereof so that it shows the figures for the whole year of 2020 for England and Wales
2. The same file (or info) showing the whole of the UK - England & Wales and Scotland and N Ireland
3. Same two files for 2021, latest version.

We are responsible for the production of Mortality data for England and Wales, this is driven by information collected from the death certificate at death registration. National Records Scotland (NRS) and Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA) are responsible for statistics pertaining to Scotland and Northern Ireland. We do have the following publications available:

Deaths Registered Weekly in England and Wales which will provide all cause and COVID-19 deaths by 5 year age group and sex. Within this publication, there is also headline figures for COVID-19 deaths in the UK.

Monthly mortality analysis in England and Wales which will provide all cause and COVID-19 deaths, including COVID-19 deaths with pre-existing conditions Pre-existing conditions of people who died due to COVID-19, England and Wales . This publication will be updated on 22^nd May 2021 to include 2021 data.
