We publish finalised headline mortality figures for the UK within our Vital statistics in the UK: births, deaths and marriages. The latest data available in the publication is for 2019.

Deaths in the UK in 1980, 1981, 1982, 1990, 1991, 1992, 2018, and 2019:

Total deaths for 2020 will be finalised in July 2021 with the publication of our Deaths Registered Series. This is to allow time for late registrations such as deaths referred to Coroner's Inquest to be included.

Whilst the data has not yet been finalised for 2020, all three statistical agencies have published a blog with provisional year-end figures from 1 January 2020 to 31 December 2020:
