  1. The latest available figures for population are the mid-2017 Population Estimates for UK, England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland which breaks the figures down by local authority and single year of age. Once you have downloaded the zip file the table you need is MYE2-All

  2. Table MYE5 from the above file gives population density and shows the size in square kilometers of each administrative area.

  3. We do not hold any data about hospital beds and suggest that the best source for that would be NHS Digital; enquiries@nhsdigital.nhs.uk
