Summary of request

This excel table shows the number of student deaths classified as suicides for 2012 and 2013, in the United Kingdom. The figures are presented for each year and by sex.

The numbers detailed in this data set cannot be used to ascertain the risk of suicide among students. Year-to-year differences in numbers of deaths may merely reflect change in the population of students across time as opposed to change in the risk of suicide.

This file incorrectly stated that it is data for the United Kingdom. It is only data for England and Wales. 5 August 2016.
