The Office for National Statistics (ONS) is today launching a pilot survey of Ukrainians arriving in the UK.

The survey aims to collect information on the opinions, experiences and intentions of Ukrainian nationals who have recently arrived in the UK. It will aid local and national emergency response planning.

The survey will cover a range of topics, including:

  • living arrangements
  • experience of accessing services and support since arriving in the UK
  • plans for finding work, moving to a different area, and accessing services such as schools or housing

This survey is being carried out by the ONS on behalf of the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) and the Home Office.

You can find out more information about the new survey on the ONS website.

The survey will provide anonymised data to Government to aid response planning and decision-making regarding Ukrainians coming to the UK. We will publish findings in due course, the detail of which will depend on data quality and response rates. We will provide further updates as data become available and publications will be announced in the release calendar.
