Real earnings are published using Average Weekly Earnings (AWE) estimates. These figures can be found in the monthly UK Labour Market release in table 6 of the EARN01 dataset:

Unfortunately ONS does not publish real annual earnings back to 1984, however an ad-hoc based on a customer request for similar data based on hourly earnings back to 1975 has previously been published:
