Ad hoc tables for the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS). These tables are questions broken down by a combination of 2-digit SICs that were not published in the Business Impact of COVID-19 Survey (BICS) results.
Information about what SICs are included in the industries presented is provided in a table on the "SIC Table" tab.
The indicators and analysis presented in this bulletin are based on responses from the voluntary fortnightly business survey, which captures businesses responses on how their turnover, workforce prices, trade and business resilience have been affected in the two week reference period. The period the data relates to will be illustrated in each table.
Due to the voluntary nature of the survey, comparison should be treated with caution as different businesses can respond to different Waves. Also, routing across the Waves have been updated, so please take note which businesses have responded to each question for each Wave. Large routing differences can be found in the exporting, importing and proportion furloughed tabs.
Estimates from the Business Impact of Coronavirus (COVID-19) Survey (BICS) are currently unweighted and should be treated with caution when used to evaluate the impact of COVID-19 across the UK economy. Each business was assigned the same weight regardless of turnover, size or industry, and the data in the latest period are final.
