You asked

I would like to receive access to statistics concerning sexual crimes that have been perpetrated in England and Wales broken down by ethnic and religious groups. Please provide this data from January 2000 to January 2018.

Thank you for your enquiry.

Data relating to these police recorded crime classifications are provided to us from the Home Office as aggregate numbers only. Unfortunately, we do not hold any information about the perpetrators of these offences.

The Home Office may have some information on the ethnicity of suspected offenders collated by the 38 police forces currently providing data to them via their Data Hub. If it this information is available, it may be limited to more recent years (from April 2014, since the Data Hub is a relatively new facility) and will not comprehensively cover all of England and Wales (since not all 43 police forces have yet moved to this newer method of reporting data).

The Ministry of Justice (MOJ) will have more detailed information on the ethnicity of offenders. Their most recent report ‘Statistics on Race and the Criminal Justice System 2016’ published on the 30 November 2017, covers only headline crime categories such as ‘violence’ and ‘sexual offences’ rather than the specific offences you have listed. However, MOJ may be able to provide a more detailed breakdown covering your required time-periods. Their contact details are as follows.
